DIARY OF A SNOW WITCH

Once the sun poured down like honey on the grass so warm and sweet
and the sand, like broken diamonds, lay sparkling at her feet.
Then she fell in love forever. Loved not wisely, but loved well
And when he left, he took the summer and icy crystal snow flakes fell.

Now, in turbulent dark vistas, gaunt flanked unicorns endure.
Rhineland gnomes forge swords for heroes and wild winds besiege the moor.
In the thrall of iron winter, whispering forests darkly lie
and 'midst the smell of soot and brimstone, fragile fairie dragons die.

But once the sun poured down like honey on the grass so warm and sweet
and the sand, like broken diamonds, lay sparkling at her feet.
Then she fell in love forever. Loved not wisely, but loved well
and when he left he took the summer and icy crystal snow flakes fell.

Even winter has its beauty crowned with jewel emblazoned snow.
Ice is cold, but pain is frozen, frost dulls the pangs of woe
and she remembers sun like honey on the grass so warm and sweet
and she remembers sand like diamonds once warmed her crystal feet.
