LIFE IS SO WONDERFUL

Life is so wonderful, I've learned so many things.
If you do it in hot water, it hardly even stings.

I've learned everything important, at least, that's how it seems.
How to put out fires, how not to walk on dreams,
how to say goodbye and how to do what's right,
but, not how to make it through the night.

I've learned how to love and how to lose a friend.
If you slit them vertically, they're impossible to mend.
Love is very beautiful, all the joys it brings,
If you do it in hot water, it hardly even stings.

I love the life I'm living, it's the best life for me.
and I'd love to go on loving, giving endlessly.
I'll hold on as long as I can and I only hope you'll see
I'm not doing this for someone else, but, selfishly, for me.

Life is miracluous, but inside me something sings:
If you do it in hot water it hardly even stings.
